We book comics purely based on how funny or promising they are.
Unlike other clubs, we don’t select performers based on:
How many people they can bring in.
Social media followers.
Whether they work for, own, or can offer favors to the venue.
This approach ensures consistent, high-quality shows every time.
3. No Drink Minimums
We don’t require you to spend $75 on mediocre food and watered-down drinks (common practice at other clubs).
Enjoy the show without any pressure to buy more than you want.
Of course though, we do encourage you to support the bar!
4. Unbeatable Prices on Tickets and Drinks
Our tickets are only $10-20, with reasonably priced drinks.
Some other clubs have dropped drink minimums but drastically raised prices on drinks to make up for it — we haven’t.

Built from the Ground Up
Founded by Amy Wong and Matt Rosenblum, The Tiny Cupboard is a true grassroots operation. Here’s a quick look at our journey:
2019: Launched in a tiny 153-square-foot Bushwick art studio (hence the name!).
2020: Transformed into a rooftop comedy venue during the pandemic, giving comedians a platform when indoor spaces were shut down.
2021: Opened our indoor pink main room (formerly a church, legally speaking) while repurposing the original tiny studio as an open mic space.
2022-2024: Optimized the main room for quality; adding a text to order system during the show, a variety of drink & snack options, more comfortable seating, board games at every seat, cameras filming every show, better booking process, better customer experience, & vastly improved aesthetics.
2025: Opening a new board game bar next door to hang out at before or after shows!
With no outside investors or family money, the club grew from just a few hundred dollars and a passion for comedy.
Other things we do differently than other clubs
Stay for multiple lineups throughout the night as long as you keep supporting the bar.
Unbeatable season pass offered to you for your second visit (unlimited shows for 90 days).
All ages are welcome, though some content may be more adult in nature.
